SHANGHAI, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed lower Tuesday on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for July delivery was down 16.5 yuan (about 2.40 U.S. dollars) to close at 422.5 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for 13 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 378,474 lots, with a turnover of about 161.7 billion yuan.
China launched crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, on March 26 last year. Enditem
