BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) -- GAC Hino Motors Co. will recall 973 tow trucks due to defective transmission control cables, according to China's market regulator.
The recall, set to begin Monday, affects SS64 models manufactured between Feb. 5, 2018, and Dec. 23, 2018, according to a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Manual transmission control cables of the aforementioned trucks may break due to fatigue, making these vehicles fail to shift gears.
The automaker promised to replace the defective parts of the affected vehicles free of charge. Enditem
