The 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival

Place: 47 cinemas in Shanghai

Introduction:

Hundreds of films from around the world will be screened in 47 Shanghai cinemas during this year's Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), providing a real feast to movie lovers. Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan will be the president of the jury for this year's SIFF Golden Goblet Awards.

The festival will host the special screening of movies by famous filmmakers including Theodoros Angelopoulos, Robert Bresson and Frederick Wiseman.

Tatsuo Miyajima: Being Coming (Exhibition)

Date: daily except Monday until Aug. 18, 2019

Place: 21st Century Minsheng Museum

Introduction:

As one of the foremost Japanese contemporary artists, Tatsuo Miyajima has been creating art installations with digital LED counters since the mid-1980s. Historical events and cultural conflicts play essential roles in Miyajima's artworks.
