ANKARA -- The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday slammed a resolution approved by the U.S. House of Representatives that condemned Ankara's purchase of Russian S-400 defense systems.

The bill passed by the U.S. congress does not comply with the rooted amity and alliance relations of Turkey and the United States, the ministry said in a statement released on Tuesday. (Turkey-Russia-US)

TEHRAN -- Iran's Judiciary announced on Tuesday that it has freed the Lebanese national, Nizar Zakka, who has been jailed in Iran on espionage charges for the United States, Press TV reported.

An Iranian court has "agreed to Nizar Zakka's conditional release and he will be handed over to Lebanese authorities," Iran's Judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili was quoted as saying. (Iran-Lebanon-Spying)

Algeria -- Algeria on Tuesday strongly condemned the "terrible massacre" that hit the Malian village of Sobame Da, which claimed the life of dozens of civilians.

Algeria "strongly condemns this horrible massacre committed against isolated citizens in the village of Subame Da in the center of Mali, while extending condolences to the families of the victims and expressing solidarity with the people and the government of Mali," according to a foreign ministry statement. DUBAI -- China's smartphone giant OPPO announced on Tuesday a new partnership with the United Arab Emirates(UAE)-based Lulu Hypermarket, one of the biggest retailers across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
