SHANGHAI, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed lower Wednesday on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for July delivery was down 7.3 yuan (about 1.1 U.S. dollars) to close at 423 yuan a barrel.
On Wednesday the total trading volume for 10 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 334,016 lots, with a turnover of about 142.8 billion yuan.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, on March 26 last year. Enditem
