CHENGDU, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Police in southwest China's Sichuan Province have busted a cross-border drug gang, nabbing 10 suspects and seizing about 50 kg of methamphetamine, local public security department said.

A man surnamed Li caught the attention of police in Zhongjiang county back in October 2017, for frequently transporting drugs from the border area of the southwestern Yunnan Province back to Sichuan.

In April, police learned that Li was going to purchase 60 kg of drugs from Myanmar and bring to Zhongjiang county for sale. The gang was busted on April 6, with 50 kg of magu, a stimulant composed of methamphetamine and caffeine, seized.
