SHANGHAI, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Wednesday on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for August delivery was up 4.9 yuan (about 71 U.S. cents) to close at 424.8 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for 7 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 405,320 lots, with a turnover of about 172.3 billion yuan.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, on March 26 last year. Enditem
