GUANGZHOU, June 23 (Xinhua) -- The following are shows and exhibitions available in Guangzhou in the coming week:
Concert: Crazy in Love
Date: June 26-27
Time: 8 p.m.
Place: Guangdong Arts Theatre
Introduction:
Through dramatic stage presentation, the concert skillfully links eight classical Western operas, including La Traviata, Madama Butterfly and Carmen, to inject rich emotions into these opera arias and give the audience a new experience. The concert includes about 20 well-known classical arias about love.
Jaap van Zweden & New York Philharmonic Orchestra Concert
Date: June 27
Time: 8 p.m.
Place: Xinghai Concert Hall
Introduction:
This will be the first time that the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the top classical Orchestra in the United States, performs in Guangzhou. Jaap van Zweden, a world-renowned conductor and orchestra director, will lead the orchestra to bring classic works of Beethoven, Shostakovich, Mozart and Brahms to Guangzhou audiences.
Yang Liping: Pingtan Impression
