BAGHDAD -- Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) backed by the U.S.-led coalition aircraft on Monday killed 14 Islamic State (IS) militants in an operation in Iraq's northern province of Kirkuk, the Iraqi military said.
A force from the CTS in coordination with the international coalition aircraft conducted an operation to hunt down IS remnants in south of the provincial capital city of Kirkuk, some 250 km north of Baghdad, the media office of the Joint Operations Command said in a statement. (Iraq-IS)

RAMALLAH -- Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Ishtaye slammed on Monday the U.S.-sponsored economic workshop to be held in Bahrain, saying it will be futile.

TEHRAN -- Iran will not stamp the passports of foreigners visiting the country, Tehran Times daily reported on Monday.
The move by the Iranian authorities follows an order by the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani who asked the Interior Ministry on Sunday to arrange to waive visa-stamping or marking the passports of foreign nationals visiting the country, according to the report. (Iran-Foreign)
