SHANGHAI, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Monday on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for August delivery was up 3.5 yuan (about 51 U.S. cents) to close at 451.6 yuan a barrel.
On Monday the total trading volume for 6 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 326,404 lots, with a turnover of about 146 billion yuan.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, on March 26 last year. Enditem
