ZHENGZHOU, July 8 (Xinhua) -- PTA (purified terephthalic acid) futures closed lower Monday on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE).
The most active PTA contract for September delivery lost 14 yuan (2.03 U.S. dollars) to close at 5,940 yuan per tonne.
On Monday, the total trading volume for 11 listed PTA futures contracts on the ZCE was about 4.67 million lots with a turnover of 136.72 billion yuan.
As the world's largest producer and consumer of PTA, China listed PTA futures on the ZCE in 2006 and opened to international investors in November 2018.
