SHANGHAI, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed higher Friday on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for August delivery was up 3.9 yuan (about 57 U.S. cents) to close at 458.2 yuan a barrel.
On Friday the total trading volume for seven listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 269,358 lots, with a turnover of about 123.5 billion yuan.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, on March 26 last year. Enditem
