BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhua) -- The following are the highlights of China's key cultural news from the past week:

-- China's book expo to bring the world of literature to children

China's upcoming Children's Book Expo, to be held from July 17 to 23 in Beijing, will display more than 35,000 high-quality children's books.

-- Greater bay area union founded to promote literary integration

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Literary Union has been established in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong Province, in a bid to promote literary development in the area.

-- New edition of foreign literary classics released

The People's Publishing House has begun to release a new series of foreign literary classics.

The complete series, comprised of 100 literary classics, including French novelist Victor Hugo's "Notre-Dame of Paris" and German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's "Faust," will be presented to readers this year. Enditem
