SHANGHAI, July 19 (Xinhua) -- The Disney Inspiration Run is set to return to Shanghai Disney Resort for the third time this October, the Shanghai Disney Resort announced on Friday.

The event will continue featuring three types of races, namely 3.5km, 5km and the Disney Inspiration Kids Run.

Runners aged five years and older are allowed to participate in the 3.5km run, while the 5km race require the participants being 16 years old or above. The Disney Inspiration Kids Run will be open to children aged between two to five with an accompanying parent or guardian.

The 3.5km and the Disney Inspiration Kids Run will be held on October 19 and 20, while the 5km run will be held only on October 20.

Every participant who crosses the finish line will receive a commemorative Disney character themed medal.

A whole host of characters from Disney, Disney Pixar, and Marvel will line each course, cheer guests on and pose for pictures during the race.

Public registration for the 2019 Autumn Disney Inspiration Run will open at 10:00 a.m. on August 22.

First organized in Orlando, Disney's destination races have attracted hundreds of thousands of participants across the globe. Enditem
