BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The following is a list of major shows, concerts, exhibitions and events in China on Thursday, July 25:

-- Dance "Vortex"

Location: Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, Beijing

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Dance "Vortex," choreographed by acclaimed contemporary dance artist Wayson Poon, will be featured during the 2019 Beijing Dance Festival.

The dance presents that human civilization is constantly redefining what is legitimate or appropriate, and humans, who have long been accustomed to constraints, have drifted away from their true selves.

This work is commissioned by 2018 Hong Kong Arts Festival and premiered as part of Hong Kong Jockey Club Contemporary Dance Series.

-- Musical "Beauty and the Beast"

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Location: Walt Disney Grand Theater, Shanghai

The Chinese version of the original Broadway musical "Beauty and the Beast" will be staged at Walt Disney Grand Theater located in Disneytown at Shanghai Disney Resort, where audiences will be able to enjoy a subtle blend of the Broadway classic with Chinese elements.

"Beauty and the Beast" is the second co-produced Chinese version of a Disney musical by Shanghai Disney Resort and Disney Theatrical Production after the Chinese version of "The Lion King."

-- Scenic on-water performance "Enduring Memories of Hangzhou"

Location: No.86 Beishan Road, West Lake District, Hangzhou

Time: 7:45 p.m.

"Enduring Memories of Hangzhou," formerly called "Impression of the West Lake," is a large on-water live-action performance adapted from a performance displayed during the 2016 G20 Summit in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Featuring a symphony orchestra and dazzling natural night scenes, the show aims to bring the beauty of Chinese culture to a wider audience. Enditem
