Staatstheater am Gartnerplatz Children's Choir

Venue: Concert Hall, National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA)

Introduction:

Founded about 30 years ago, the Staatstheater am Gartnerplatz Children's Choir has been involved in many music theater productions and concerts, including "Die Zauberflote," "Carmen," "La Boheme," "Hansel and Gretel," "Der Bajazzo," "Wozzeck," "Feuersnot" as well as the musicals "Marilyn," "Tschitti Tschitti Bang Bang" and Orff's "Carmina Burana."

The Dawns Here Are Quiet

Date: Aug. 3

Time: 9:15 a.m.

Venue: Opera House, NCPA

Introduction:

This opera is based on the original novel that tells the story of several female soldiers fighting against the German invaders in World War II. The director of the opera uses a poetic style throughout the whole play to sketch the grandeur of nature, the warmth of humanity and the ruthlessness of war.

Bologna Illustrators Exhibition China Tour

Date: Aug. 4-Oct. 8

Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Venue: Riverside Art Museum

Introduction:

Inaugurated more than 50 years ago, the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition records the development of illustration around the world, and has become one of the world's best illustration exhibitions. The exhibition's upcoming China Tour will display 387 original works of 80 illustrators and one cover illustrator from around the globe. Enditem
