SHANGHAI, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures closed lower Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for September delivery was down 16.2 yuan (about 2.35 U.S. dollars) to close at 428.4 yuan a barrel.
The total trading volume for eight listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 356,114 lots, with a turnover of about 153.75 billion yuan.
China launched the crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, on March 26 in 2018. Enditem
