GUANGZHOU, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are shows and exhibitions available in Guangzhou in the coming week:

Concert: More Than Love

Date: Aug. 7

Time: 8 p.m.

Venue: Xinghai Concert Hall

Introduction:

On Qixi Festival, the traditional Chinese Valentine's Day, a concert of romantic classics will be staged at Xinghai Concert Hall. The concert will feature Oscar-winning movie theme songs and famous music pieces such as "For Elise," "Yesterday Once More," "Casablanca" and "More Than Love."

Matilda the Musical

Date: Aug. 8-14 (Monday off)

Time: 2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Venue: Guangzhou Opera House

Introduction:

Seven Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards attest to the excellence of "Matilda the Musical." Based on the eponymous children's novel by Roald Dahl, the musical centers on Matilda, a 5-year-old girl who overcomes the obstacles caused by her family and school and changes her destiny.

Swan Lake for Children by the Russian State Ballet

Date: Aug. 11

Time: 3 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Venue: Guangdong Arts Theater

Introduction:

Since its premiere in Moscow in 1877, the ballet "Swan Lake" has become one of the most famous ballets in the world.
