ZHENGZHOU, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Cotton futures opened flat Friday in daytime trading on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE).
The most active cotton contract for September delivery opened at 12,220 yuan (about 1,742 U.S. dollars) per tonne, unchanged from the previous settlement price.
As the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of textile, China listed cotton futures on ZCE in June 2004, helping cotton-related enterprises hedge price risks. Enditem
