BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese-subtitled trailer has been released for "Abominable," an animated adventure film produced by DreamWorks Animation and Shanghai-headquartered Pearl Studio, according to the film's official Weibo account.

It tells of a teenage girl named Yi and a child-like Yeti that go on an epic journey from the streets of Shanghai to the snowy Himalayan grounds to reunite the magical creature with his family.

"Abominable" will be released worldwide starting in September 2019 and hits theaters on the Chinese mainland on Oct. 1.

The film marks the second collaboration between DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studio after "Kung Fu Panda 3," which was released in 2016. Enditem
