SHANGHAI, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- The following are art festivals, shows and exhibitions available in Shanghai in the coming week:

2019 Shanghai Book Fair

Date: Aug. 14-20

Venue: Shanghai Exhibition Center and many book stores in the city

Introduction:

With the opening of the 2019 Shanghai Book Fair, the metropolis of Shanghai embraces its "reading season." More than 1,200 reading-related activities will be held during the seven-day festival. Writers from around the globe will be invited to attend the Shanghai International Literature Week as well.

Pixar In Concert

Date: Aug. 11

Venue: Mercedes-Benz Arena

Introduction:

As one of the world's most renowned animation studios, Pixar is loved by many children and adults in China. This concert will feature famous songs and soundtracks from Pixar hits including "Toy Story," "Ratatouille," "Monsters Inc.," "Finding Nemo," "The Incredibles," "Inside Out" and "Coco," helping the audience relive some of their best cinematic moments.

Matthew Bourne's "Swan Lake"

Date: Aug. 15-25

Venue: Shanghai Cultural Square

Introduction:

Matthew Bourne's thrilling, audacious "Swan Lake" is coming back to Shanghai. The bold adaptation of the famous Russian romantic ballet turns the tradition upside down by replacing the female corps de ballet with male dancers.
