CAIRO -- Dozens of Egyptian visitors were fascinated by the Chinese tea culture and various artistic teapots presented at an exhibition held on Thursday at the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo.

Dubbed "the Exhibition of Teaware and Tea Art with Oriental Aesthetics," the event showcases about 30 traditional Chinese teapots with various shapes and sizes, in addition to presentations on stage by Chinese tea and teapot makers. (Egypt-China-Tea)

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemen's government forces and military units of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) engaged in armed confrontations over control of the country's oil-rich province of Shabwa on Thursday night, a security official told Xinhua.

Intense street fighting struck the neighborhoods of Attaq, Shabwa's provincial capital, as the STC forces attempt to seize the city from the Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces, said the official on condition of anonymity. (Yemen-Aden)

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army has entered all areas in the town of Khan Shaykhun after the defeat of the rebel groups in that area in the countryside of Idlib province, a military source told Xinhua on Thursday.

The source said the army units entered all areas in Khan Shaykhun, a former rebel bastion that was retaken by the army on Wednesday. (Syria-Idlib) Enditem
