SHANGHAI, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Crude oil futures opened lower Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
The most active crude oil contract for October delivery was down 2.3 yuan (about 33 U.S. cents) to open at 426.1 yuan a barrel.
