BAGHDAD -- At least three Hashd Shaabi paramilitary members were killed Monday in an attack on their position by Islamic State (IS) militants in the central province of Salahudin, a provincial security source said.

The attack took place in the evening when the extremist militants attacked an outpost manned by Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, which is affiliated with Hashd Shaabi units near the town of Yathrib, some 100 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, Mohammed al-Bazi from the provincial police told Xinhua. TEHRAN -- Iran has rejected France's proposal to include the missile program in a new round of negotiations, an informed source told Press TV on Monday.

ADEN -- The Saudi-backed Yemeni government on Monday declared a cease-fire with the separatist forces of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the country's southern regions.

The Yemeni Defense Ministry ordered all the government's military units positioned in the southeastern province of Shabwa and in the southern provinces of Abyan and Aden to immediately stop fighting. (Yemen-Ceasefire)

TRIPOLI -- Violent clashes on Monday broke out between Libya's UN-backed government forces and the eastern-based army near the city of Gharyan, some 80 km south of the capital Tripoli.

The eastern-based army's information office said that the clashes killed several soldiers and destroyed many armored vehicles of the UN-backed government forces, confirming that the army has taken over new positions near the city. (Libya-Clashes) Enditem
