China's top political advisor meets guests of DPRK, Vietnam, Laos

BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Yang met Wednesday with foreign delegations to a seminar of united front organizations from China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Vietnam and Laos.

Wang, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, said the four countries are socialist states and their traditional friendship is cherished by all.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of both the People's Republic of China and the CPPCC.

Wang said the CPPCC National Committee is ready to work with united front organizations from the three countries to implement the consensus reached by the four countries' leaders, enhancing mutual political trust, advancing pragmatic cooperation, and facilitating friendly exchanges.

Heads of the foreign delegations, Yang Chol Sik from the DPRK, Nguyen Huu Dung from Vietnam and Khambay Damlath from Laos voiced their expectation that the four sides will build consensus from mutual learning, promote solidarity, and tap potential of the united front organizations in deepening bilateral ties.
