GAZA -- At least 55 Palestinians were injured on Friday afternoon during clashes with Israeli soldiers stationed on the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel, a Palestinian official said.

Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the health ministry in Gaza, told reporters that 55 demonstrators were injured, including 29 shot by Israeli soldiers' gunfire, in eastern Gaza Strip, adding that two women were among the casualties. (Israel-Palestine)

TEHRAN -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will travel to Turkey to attend a trilateral meeting on Syria on Sunday, official IRNA news agency reported on Friday.

In the meeting, Rouhani and his Russian and Turkish counterparts will discuss the current situation of Syria as well as the prospect of their cooperation on international issues, Parviz Esmaili, Iranian presidential office director for communications and information, said. (Iran-Turkey)

DAMASCUS -- At least 25 people were killed and wounded when a car bomb went off in Syria's rebel-held Afrin city in northern Syria on Friday, a war monitor reported.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a violent explosion rocked Afrin, which is controlled by the Turkey-backed rebels in the northern countryside of Aleppo province, when a car bomb went off near rebels' headquarters. (Syria-Car Bomb)

RABAT -- The death toll in Sunday's bus mishap near southeastern Moroccan city of Errachidia has risen to 23, local authorities said on Friday.
