BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are the highlights of China's key culture news from the past week:

-- China selects outstanding films, TV series to mark PRC founding anniversary

The Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on Friday made public 70 outstanding political- and legal-themed films and television series produced since the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1949.

In celebration of the PRC's 70th founding anniversary, the works were selected by experts from 209 political and legal films and TV series recommended by law enforcement and judicial agencies, to show the achievements in the country's political and legal work over the years.

-- Chinese museums partner to issue "passport" to visitors

Over 70 Chinese museums have joined hands to release a passport-like cultural product in a bid to improve visitors' experience.

Visitors who have purchased the product can have their "passport" stamped when visiting these museums, according to Art Exhibitions China (AEC), a government agency affiliated to the National Cultural Heritage Administration and organizer of the joint program.

"Museum Passport" owners can collect the museum logo stamps and purchase other products and services offered by the museums with the membership bonus points they accumulate, according to the AEC.

-- Exhibition opens to showcase China's retrieved cultural relics

An exhibition showcasing China's achievements in cultural relic retrieval opened to the public at the National Museum of China Tuesday.

More than 600 valuable cultural relics, including a set of 2,000-year-old bronzeware recently retrieved from Japan, are on display at the exhibition, symbolizing the country's arduous yet fruitful journey of cultural relic retrieval over the last seven decades.
