SHANGHAI, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures closed higher Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for December delivery was up 1.55 yuan (about 22 U.S. cents) to close at 353.85 yuan a gram.
The total trading volume for eight listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 633,822 lots, with a turnover of about 223.9 billion yuan.
