Eternal Melody: Chinese Musical Works Performance

Date: Oct. 5

Venue: Shenzhen Concert Hall

Introduction:

Performed by young pianist Bei Chen and young tenor Yuchen Zhang, the performance highlights the Chinese musical works such as Ode to the Yellow River and China My Love to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Bird, Flowers and Sweet Spring: Exhibition of Yu Jigao's Works

Date: Until Oct. 10 (Closed on Monday)

Venue: Shenzhen University Art Museum

Introduction:

Yu Jigao is an outstanding master of meticulous flower-and-bird painting in contemporary China. His works have been selected for several national art exhibitions, and have been exhibited in more than 30 countries and regions where Yu have won many awards. The nearly 40 paintings in this exhibition are a collection of Yu's best works in his 60 years of art life.

Introduction:

He Xiangning (1878-1972), born in Hong Kong, was one of the great female activists and artists in modern Chinese history. Once elected chairperson of the China Artists Association, He often painted pine trees, plum blossom, lions, tigers, mountains and rivers to express her emotions and aspirations in her 70-year revolutionary career.
