DEIR AL-ZOUR, Syria -- The Bukamal-Qaim border crossing between Syria and Iraq was reopened on Monday for the first time since its closure in 2014 when Islamic State (IS) militants captured areas on both sides of the border.

Xinhua reporters at the site witnessed the re-opening of that key border crossing, which connects the town of Al-Bukamal in Syria's eastern province of Deir al-Zour to the city of Husaybah, in the Al-Qaim District of Iraq's Anbar Governorate. (Syria-Iraq)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group released on Monday 290 prisoners, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said in a statement.

"The unilateral release of 290 detainees, including 42 survivors of an attack on a place of detention in Dhamar this month, took place today," ICRC said. (Yemen-Houthis)

RIYADH -- A total of 20 Chinese enterprises operating in Saudi Arabia took part in a job fair to recruit local talent, attracting hundreds of Saudi graduates and job seekers.

TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday dismissed as "baseless" the claims by Saudi Arabia that Iran had been behind the recent attacks on Aramco oil facilities in the kingdom.

"They themselves know that the charges (against Iran) are baseless and embarrassing," Abbas Mousavi, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, said in his weekly press conference. (Iran-Saudi Arabia-Aramco) Enditem
