BEIJING, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The following is a summary of published science and technology news of China.

CLEAN COAL POWER

After more than 20 years of research, Chinese scientists developed an ultra-low-emissions system to filter multiple pollutants from coal-fired flue gas quickly and cheaply.

The National Energy Administration announced in February that China had established the world's largest clean coal-power generation system, setting a new milestone in cutting emissions and saving energy.

ADVANCED TUNNELING MACHINES

With around 30,000 precision components and mechanical engineering, electric, sensing, information and dynamics technologies, a tunnel boring machine (TBM) is considered a gauge of a country's equipment manufacturing level.

In the past decade, China's TBM industry has witnessed great progress, with products exported to more than 10 countries and regions for projects like subways, highways, railways and water conservancy.

INNOVATIVE PALACE MUSEUM DRAMA

The Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, has announced the launch of a drama production featuring various innovative storytelling technologies.

By means of advanced technologies including 5G plus 4K ultra-high definition videos, interactive multiple story endings and an immersive experience, the "Glory of the Forbidden City" tells a story of a talented craftsman Kuai Xiang from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), who took part in the designing and building of the imperial palace.
