BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The following are a selection of shows available in Beijing in the coming week:

Sadler's Wells Theatre Acosta Danza

Date: Oct. 15-16

Venue: Theatre, National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA)

Introduction:

World-renowned ballet superstar Carlos Acosta's new dance troupe, the Havana-based Acosta Danza will make their debut at the NCPC during their first Chinese tour to present the best of Cuba ballet and contemporary dances.

Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin

Date: Oct. 16

Venue: Concert Hall, National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA)

Introduction:

Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester (DSO) Berlin, one of Germany's leading orchestras, will perform at the National Center for the Performing Arts. The concert will be conducted by Robin Ticciati and feature violinist Nicola Benedetti.

"Violin Concerto No.1" by Shostakovich and Austrian musician Mahler's "Symphony No.1" will be performed to bring the audience a melodious night.

China NCPA Orchestra

Date: Oct. 18-19

Venue: Concert Hall, National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA)

Introduction:

China NCPA Orchestra is the resident orchestra of the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing. Established in March 2010, the orchestra consists of highly accomplished musicians from around the world, who perform in more than a dozen opera productions presented by its home venue each year as well as in ballets and regular orchestral concerts in its own season.
