BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Japanese automaker Subaru will recall 667 vehicles sold in the Chinese market because of possible safety hazards.

The recall, set to begin on Nov. 4, affects some imported models of Forester, Legacy and Outback produced between June 30, 2015 and Feb. 17, 2018, according to a statement posted on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.

The vibration and other factors during driving may lead to loosening of engine exhaust manifold, resulting in the leakage of unpurified exhaust gas, the administration said.

The unpurified exhaust gas might damage wiring harnesses and other components around the manifold, posing safety risks, it added.

Subaru will check and fix the defective parts of affected vehicles free of charge, and replace them, if necessary, said the statement. Enditem
