BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- The following are highlights of China's local business news from the past week.

HUAWEI REVENUE

Chinese tech giant Huawei's sales revenue rose 24.4 percent year on year to 610.8 billion yuan (86 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters of 2019.

The company has signed more than 60 commercial contracts for 5G with leading global carriers so far as commercial deployment of 5G networks around the world is speeding up.

BYD

China's leading new energy vehicle (NEV) maker BYD has so far delivered more than 50,000 electric buses to global clients.

According to Liu Zhenyu, general manager in charge of BYD's Xi'an business, said the electric buses of BYD have entered dozens of countries and regions including the United States, Britain, Japan, India and Chile.

CANTON FAIR

The 126th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened Tuesday in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province.

A total of 25,642 enterprises from home and abroad are hosting exhibitions in the autumn session of the biannual fair, which has a total exhibition area of about 1.19 million square meters.

TOY EXPORTS

China exported 31.52 billion U.S. dollars of toys in the first eight months of this year, up 16.7 percent year on year, according to the China Toy & Juvenile Products Association.

The double-digit growth showed the resilience of China's toy industry, said Liang Mei, president of the association, adding that scientific innovation has stepped up the transformation of China's toy industry and increased the competitiveness of China-made toys.

MOUTAI

China's top alcohol brand Kweichow Moutai saw its sales revenue jump by 16.64 percent year on year in the first three quarters of this year.

Its sales revenue during the period reached more than 60.93 billion yuan (8.6 billion U.S. dollars), with the net profit exceeding 30.45 billion yuan, up 23.13 percent year on year.

URBAN RAIL

The total length of operational urban rail transit in China will reach 6,600 kilometers by the end of 2019, according to the China Energy Conservation Association (CECA).

As of September, 39 Chinese cities have had urban rail transit systems in operation, with the total length exceeding 6,330 kilometers. Enditem
