-- Drama "Thunderstorm"

Location: The Capital Theater, Beijing
"Thunderstorm" is a milestone in modern Chinese drama by renowned playwright Cao Yu (1910-1996) published in 1934 when Cao was only 24 years old.
It tells of the Zhou family's psychological and physical destruction as a result of incest and oppression, caused by its morally depraved and corrupt patriarch, Zhou Puyuan, a wealthy businessman.
-- Comedy "The Play That Goes Wrong"
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: The Comedy Theater, Beijing
"The Play That Goes Wrong" is a hilarious murder mystery "play within a play." As the title suggests, everything goes wrong. The accident-prone performers battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call with hilarious consequences.
A production of the British Mischief Theater Company, the original comedy won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards.
-- Musical "The Sound of Music"
Time: 2:30 p.m./ 7:30 p.m.
Location: Yunfeng Theater, Shanghai
Based on Maria Von Trapp's autobiography, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, the musical tells the story of a free-spirited nun hired by Captain George Von Trapp to care for his seven children and eventually fall in love with him, and their love soon shattered when the war broke out.
The Sound of Music debuted at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater in 1959 and finally became the second longest running Broadway musical in the 1950s. The 1956 film version won the Academy Award in 1966. Enditem
