BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- The following are the highlights of China's key culture news from the past week:
-- China funds development of ethnic minority literature
The China Writers Association (CWA) has funded the publication of 80 works and supported 578 projects on ethnic minority literature since 2013.
The CWA's funding project supports the creation, publication and translation of literary works by ethnic minority writers, and also provides training for ethnic minority writers, according to the sixth symposium on ethnic minority literature.
-- China's literature magazine publishes nearly 500 works written in ethnic languages in 10 years
The National Literature, China's only national-level monthly magazine on literature for ethnic minorities, has published nearly 500 works written in the languages of Mongolian, Tibetan and Uygur in the past 10 years.
The three versions of the magazine, in Mongolian, Tibetan and Uygur respectively, have each turned out 62 editions since they were established in 2009.
Apart from publishing works written in ethnic languages, the magazine has published over 700 works translated into the above ethnic languages, including works written by several hundred Chinese writers and dozens of foreign writers, involving over 500 translators.

The National Library of China and Huawei has signed an agreement to promote innovative digital applications in libraries and public cultural services.
