BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- A documentary literary work on a dedicated postman who has been honored as a role model by the central authorities has been published by the People's Literature Publishing House.

The book, written by Chinese author Chen Ji, gives an authentic account of the life of Chimed Dorje, a postal car driver in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Over the past 30 years, he has traveled a total distance of more than 1.4 million km along the Sichuan-Tibet postal route at an average altitude of 3,500 meters.

He has devoted himself to his work and was once badly wounded from protecting mail from robbers.

He was honored as the "role model of the times" in January and "role model of dedication" in September. Enditem
