DAQAHILYA -- A Chinese company producing fish feed was inaugurated Friday in northern Egyptian city of Gamasa, in a bid to support the Arab country's aquatic feed industry.

New Hope Egypt Aquatic Technology Co. Ltd. (NHEAT) is the fourth project for New Hope Liuhe Co. Ltd. in Egypt, said Luo Guoqiang, general manager of NHEAT, at the opening ceremony. (Egypt-China-Fish Feed Company)

ALGIERS -- Algeria's Defence Ministry Saturday said in a statement that Algerian army destroyed five terrorist shelters on Friday in the provinces of Batna and Skikda.

The official APS news agency quoted the statement as saying that in the framework of the fight against terrorism, the army discovered and destroyed on Oct. 18 five shelters for terrorists in search operations carried out in the province of Batna and Skikda, 410 km southeast and 500 km east of capital Algiers, respectively. TRIPOLI -- Libyan navy on Saturday said it rescued 148 illegal immigrants of different Arab and African nationalities off the country's western coast.

"After receiving a distress call, a search and rescue coast guards patrol rescued 148 illegal immigrants on three rubber boats off the coasts of the cities of Abu Kammash and Sabratha (in western Libya)," Ayob Qassem, the navy's spokesman, told Xinhua. (Libya-Immigrants-Rescue)

ANKARA -- Turkey on Saturday accused Syrian Kurdish militia of violating a cease-fire agreement reached by the United States and Turkey to halt the latter's offensive in northern Syria.

In the last 36 hours, a total of 14 harassment/attacks were carried out by "the PKK/YPG terrorists," 12 of which were in Ras al-Ain, one in Tal Abyad and one in Tal Tamir, the Turkish Defense Ministry said in a written statement. (Turkey-Truce) Enditem
