The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

Date: Oct. 25

Time: 8 p.m.

Venue: Shenzhen Concert Hall

Introduction:

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a group of all-singing and all-strumming Ukulele players. A concert by the Ukulele Orchestra is a funny, virtuosic, twanging, awesome and melodious light entertainment. The Orchestra takes audience on "a world tour with only hand luggage" and gives the listeners "one plucking thing after another."

Zheng and Ruan Public Performance

Date: Oct. 26

Time: 3 p.m.

Venue: Shenzhen Concert Hall

Introduction:

Performed by Yuan Yilin, Lai Lishan and other performers, the public performance features folk and ancient music, including works Song of Fishing Boat at Dusk, Baccano, amongst other. Yuan, the zheng performer, serves as a member of a local Orchestra Society in Shenzhen and has been honored the "Excellent Teacher in Shenzhen". Lai, a ruan teacher of Shenzhen Art School, serves as a member of China Nationalities Orchestra Society.

Silence in the Woods - Singing Bowl Music by Tsang Man-Tung
