China's top legislature starts bimonthly session

BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, started its bimonthly session on Monday to review multiple draft laws and revisions, including a draft law on encryption and a draft revision to the Forest Law.

Other legislative documents include a draft section on marriage and family of the civil code, a draft law on community corrections, a draft biosecurity law, as well as draft revisions to the Minors Protection Law, the Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency and the Archives Law, according to the agenda.

The NPC Standing Committee will also deliberate a draft decision on the National Supervisory Commission's formulation of supervisory regulations.

The legislative session will run from Oct. 21 to 26. Enditem
