Chinese shares end lower at midday Wednesday

BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended lower in the morning session Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.31 percent lower at 2,945.36 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.30 percent to end at 9,613.21 points at midday. Enditem
