BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- A five-day event on popular science and sci-fi films will be held from Dec. 12 to 16 in the city of Shangqiu in central China's Henan Province.

This year's event, the second of its kind, will feature a series of activities including film and animation screenings, forums, road shows for venture capital investments and a popular science and sci-fi carnival, said the organizers at a press conference.

The event is expected to build a platform for the development of popular science and sci-fi films and exchanges and cooperation in the industry, as well as promote the integration of film and science and technology, according to the press conference. Enditem
