Int'l mountain tourism conference held in SW China

GUIYANG, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 Annual Conference of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance was held in Guiyang City, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province on Monday, according to the organizer.

The event attracted more than 400 guests from over 30 countries including France, Russia and India.

With the theme of building a community of shared future for sustainable mountain tourism, the conference focused on issues including ecology, the environment, poverty reduction and innovation, and explored ways for the sustainable development of mountain tourism.

The International Mountain Tourism Alliance is a non-governmental and non-profit international organization initiated by the province, featuring 155 groups and individual members from 30 countries and regions.

The alliance aims to protect the tourism resources of mountainous regions and promote international exchanges and cooperation in the tourism industry. Enditem
