The Child Dreams by Hanoch Levin

Date: Nov. 8 and Nov.9, 2019

Venue: Shanghai Culture Square

Introduction:

"The Child Dreams" is acclaimed to be one of the most poetic drama ever put on an Israeli stage. The play tells a dream-like, multi-layered story of a small child and his mother. They escape to a distant land for shelter and redemption. Hanoch Levin was Israel's most esteemed playwright. His work is full of psychological insight and poetry.

Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and Tao Dance Theatre: EXCHANGE

Date: from Nov.7 until Nov.10, 2019

Venue: Shanghai Oriental Art Center

Introduction:

A collaboration between Cloud Gate Dance Theater and TAO Dance Theater, and the last program Lin Hwai-min curates before his retirement from Cloud Gate. This time Lin has invited two choreographers to choreograph for the troupe.

Shanghai International Artwork Trade Month

Date: All through November

Introduction: Shanghai kicks off Shanghai International Artwork Trade Month in its Xuhui District this November, as part of the opening-up policy of Shanghai, during which about 100 activities related to artwork will be held.
