SHANGHAI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are art festivals, shows and exhibitions available in Shanghai in the coming week:

The Child Dreams by Hanoch Levin

Date: Nov. 8 and Nov.9, 2019

Venue: Shanghai Culture Square

Introduction:

"The Child Dreams" is acclaimed to be one of the most poetic drama ever put on an Israeli stage. The play tells a dream-like, multi-layered story of a small child and his mother. They escape to a distant land for shelter and redemption. Hanoch Levin was Israel's most esteemed playwright. His work is full of psychological insight and poetry.

Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and Tao Dance Theatre: EXCHANGE

Date: from Nov.7 until Nov.10, 2019

Venue: Shanghai Oriental Art Center

Introduction:

A collaboration between Cloud Gate Dance Theater and TAO Dance Theater, and the last program Lin Hwai-min curates before his retirement from Cloud Gate. This time Lin has invited two choreographers to choreograph for the troupe.

Shanghai International Artwork Trade Month

Date: All through November

Introduction: Shanghai kicks off Shanghai International Artwork Trade Month in its Xuhui District this November, as part of the opening-up policy of Shanghai, during which about 100 activities related to artwork will be held. Among them there are many events of importance, including the Art 021, the West Bund Art and Design Expo, among others. Shanghai has also launched an artwork trading platform for the event. Enditem
