BEIJING, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- "Miss Forever," a Chinese romance film, is set for theatrical release on the Chinese mainland on Nov. 29.
It tells of a student at Tsinghua University who decides to learn to play the guitar for his beloved, leading him into a lifelong obsession with music.
The film bears the same name as one of the most popular songs of director Lu Gengxu, a Chinese singer-songwriter famous for his romance songs written during his time at Tsinghua University, which spawned a new genre of music known as "school ballads" in China.
"My campus life at Tsinghua happened to be a golden era for 'school ballads' in China," said Lu. "With a huge passion for music, I established a band and made friends with many music enthusiasts, which was one of the most precious memories of my life."
"The film is a dedication not only to the golden age of 'school ballads,' but also to my unforgettable campus life," Lu added. Enditem
