BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Major scientific and technological infrastructure projects of universities should be carried out under strict supervision, said a regulation issued by China's Ministry of Education.

The regulation gave detailed requirements for implementing such projects, including pre-construction research and feasibility research.

Major sci-tech infrastructure projects should be well designed and conducted under coordinated efforts of multiple departments, it said.

A database for major potential projects will be established by the ministry, the regulation said, noting that excellent projects from the database will receive support.

Management and technical personnel participating in the major projects should enjoy preferential policies in terms of research support, job promotion and salaries, the regulation said. Enditem
