Beikong outlast Guangzhou 134-123 after 2OT in CBA game

GUANGZHOU, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Kyle Fogg scored a game-high 43 points and Beikong Royal Fighters overcame Guangzhou Loong Lions 134-123 after two overtimes in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Friday.

Wang Zirui scored 19 and Sani Sakakini added 17 for Beijing. Keifer Sykes had 42 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Andrew Nicholson contributed 31 points for Guangzhou.

The visiting team dominated the second overtime to outscore the home side 18-7, before the two tied at 116-116 in the end of the first overtime.

Earlier in the game, the two teams were both hot on shots and Guangzhou led 36-31 into the second quarter. Beikong continued its attacking efficiency and took a 62-59 lead into the halftime break.

Beikong held their advantage and lead 106-103 with 21 seconds on the clock. Zheng Zhun made a crucial three-pointer to send the game into overtime. Yao Tianyi missed the final shot for Guangzhou when the two teams tied 116-116 at the end of first overtime, only to see Beikong overwhelmed in the second to win the match. Enditem
