"Better Days" continues dominating China box office, grossing 1.35 bln yuan

BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- "Better Days," a Chinese film that puts the spotlight on school bullying, continued to lead the Chinese mainland box office Saturday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Sunday.

The film generated more than 61.58 million yuan (about 8.8 million U.S. dollars) in the market on its 16th day of screening, bringing its total Chinese mainland box office to around 1.35 billion yuan.

It was followed by "Midway," an American war film centering on the 1942 Battle of Midway between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy, which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater during World War II. It grossed nearly 45.47 million yuan on Saturday.

Domestic drama film "My Dear Liar" took the third place with a daily box office revenue of about 36.52 million yuan on its second day of screening. Enditem
