TEHRAN -- Calm has been restored in Iran after days of protests following the government's decision to ration subsidized gasoline and increase its prices, semi-official FARS News Agency reported Wednesday.

Reports from different provinces said that calm and tranquility has been restored after four days of protests, some of which turned to be violence, since Friday, according to the report. (Iran-Protests)

RAMALLAH -- Palestine has decided to complain to the International Criminal Court (ICC) against U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said Wednesday.

"Pompeo bears direct responsibility for the consequences for his dangerous declaration over settlements, which will force us to go to the ICC to complain against him personally against what he said and what he did that can amount to war crimes," al-Maliki said in a statement to the Voice of Palestine, official Palestinian radio station. JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's challenger, Benny Gantz, announced Wednesday he had failed to form a government by the midnight deadline, increasing prospects for the third elections in Israel in less than a year.

Gantz said he had informed President Reuven Rivlin of his decision and returned the mandate to form a government that the president had given him last month. (Israel-Gov't)

ANKARA -- Turkey has repatriated 15 foreign Islamic State (IS) suspects to their home countries between Nov. 11 and 19, semi-official Anadolu Agency reported Wednesday.
