CGTN Think Tank launched in Beijing

BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The China Global Television Network (CGTN) announced Wednesday in Beijing the launch of its think tank as a platform for exchanges and cooperation among global think tanks.

The institute, revealed at the third CGTN Global Media Summit, will establish cooperative relationships with 50 renowned think tanks worldwide, with goals to offer insights on world development and promote communication among different cultures, said a statement from the CGTN.

A report on global communication development in 2019 was also issued during the summit, highlighting how advanced technologies including 5G, blockchain and artificial intelligence would reshape today's media industry.

The summit was attended by more than 300 people from the world's political, business and technological circles, as well as leaders from media organizations and new media platforms at home and abroad. Enditem
